The R2P RP900 is a competition-grade turbocharger system built specifically for BMW B58 Gen 2 and Toyota Supra A90 engines. Based on the Garrett G30-900 core, this turbo is intended for extreme builds targeting up to 900 HP with reliability and instant response. Perfect for drag racing, track use, and high-performance projects where every tenth counts.

Features

  • Ceramic dual ball bearing CHRA – Reduces friction and improves turbo response, virtually eliminating lag.
  • Garrett G30-900 core – Competition-proven technology with reliability in extreme conditions.
  • Up to 900 HP capacity – Supports high-level builds without compromising thermal or mechanical stability.
  • High-precision VSR balancing – Ensures smooth operation and extends service life.
  • Optimized turbine geometry – Reduces backpressure compared to OEM turbo, allowing greater flow at high RPM.

Technical specifications

  • Compressor wheel (Inducer/Exducer): 62 mm / 76 mm
  • Turbine wheel (Inducer/Exducer): 60 mm / 55 mm
  • Bearing type: Ceramic dual ball
  • Power range: 700 – 900 HP
  • Technology base: Garrett G30-900

Compatibility

Designed for the BMW B58 Gen 2 (B58B30O1 / TU) platform:

  • BMW: M340i/M440i (G20/G22), X3 M40i/X4 M40i (G01/G02), Z4 M40i (G29)
  • Toyota: GR Supra A90 with 3.0 Gen 2 engine
  • Years: 2019 onwards (depending on market)

Real-world performance

The B58 OEM turbo runs out of flow at high RPM. The RP900 solves this bottleneck with a larger turbine and ceramic bearings that spool earlier, widening the usable powerband on both street and track. On pump gas, 600-700 HP is achievable; on E85 or methanol, you approach the 900 HP limit.

FAQ

Is it plug & play?
No. Requires modifications to oil lines, cooling, manifold, and downpipe. Not compatible with OEM mounting position without adaptation.

Is ECU tuning mandatory?
Yes, absolutely. Without adapted engine management, the engine will not run safely or make use of the turbo's potential.

What power can I expect?
Depends on fuel and internal engine components. On 98 octane, 600-700 HP. On E85 or methanol with proper prep, up to 900 HP.
